About this Program

The ¹ÏÉñÍø Dance Program engages students in a dynamic and transformative process of dance training, fostering curiosity, imagination, versatility and innovation. Through interdisciplinary learning, scholarly research and engagement with local and global communities, students experience dance on many levels helping them to think critically and live creatively as dance artists.

Requirements

What are the requirements to apply for Dance Education at ¹ÏÉñÍø?
Students entering the Bachelor of Arts program in Dance Education should meet the minimum university admission requirements Undergraduate Admission.
  • To become a Dance major you must audition. Auditions for the ¹ÏÉñÍø Dance Program will be held: Saturday, February 8, 2020 Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. Auditions from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Auditions include a ballet class*, a modern class, hip-hop class and a tour of the facilities. Please register for an audition slot and submit your application to the Dance Program then click the button to submit your online application. High school students attending the program auditions will be considered for a scholarship to ¹ÏÉñÍø Summer Dance Intensive taking place in June 2020. To attend, all application materials must be submitted online by January 3, 2020. For more information about the auditions, you may email Marilyn Marloff.
