The Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) Post-Licensure online program is designed for students who have completed a certificate or associates degree from an accredited dental hygiene program and desire to continue their education toward a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. The program provides an opportunity for the licensed dental hygienist to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for expanded career opportunities in education, oral health promotion, research, community and public health, management, and marketing. This program also provides a strong foundation for graduate studies.

Eligible BSDH Post-Licensure students may apply to the linked bachelor’s to master’s program. This program allows exceptional undergraduate students the opportunity to take up to 12 credit hours of graduate coursework that may be applied to both degrees.

Registered Dental Hygienists
Licensed preventative oral health specialists who conduct the dental hygiene process of care including dental radiography, oral exams, cancer screenings, dental hygiene prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal treatment, laser therapy, patient education, sealants, fluoride varnish, silver diamine fluoride, as well as other adjunctive procedures. Additional professional roles include corporate positions, researcher, educator, administrator, and entrepreneur.  Â
Requirements
Persons seeking admission to the BSDH Post-Licensure Online Program must complete both an online application to ¹ÏÉñÍø as a degree-seeking student and a supplemental application to the Dental Hygiene Program through ADEA Dental Hygiene Centralized Application Service (DHCAS).
