About this Program

The ¹ÏÉñÍø Bachelor of Music in Performance degree prepares students for the high level of musicianship and professionalism expected in multiple genres of music. Its emphasis focuses on developing individual musicianship through applied music lessons, solo performance and participation in a variety of ensembles along with a foundation in music theory and history. Vocal and Instrumental Areas Include: Brass, Guitar, Keyboard, Percussion, Strings, Voice, Woodwinds.

Program Highlights

  • All applied music courses are taught by experienced, professional, performing faculty, 18 full time, 35 adjunct.

  • Capstone performance projects include performance juries each semester and two solo recitals.

  • Many performance opportunities in a vibrant arts community on and off campus including several competitions.

  • The Diehn School enjoys a special relationship with military music programs in all branches of the service .
