Exploratory Health & Helping

The College of Sciences offers an Exploratory Health and Helping Impact Learning Community (ILC) that provides first-year students interested in pharmacy, veterinarian, dental, physician assistant and optometry with support and resources that assist you with successfully transitioning to ¹ÏÉñÍø. By participating in this community, you will have opportunities to engage in study groups, college workshops, and academic advising. In the Impact Learning Community, you will meet weekly with an academically successful peer mentor who is pursuing a pre-health program. These co-curricular activities provide an opportunity for you to create relationships with fellow students with similar academic and career goals. In this ILC, you will be required to enroll in a common cohort of courses.

Pre-Med

The College of Sciences offers a Pre-Medical Impact Learning Community (ILC) that provides first-year students with support and resources that assist you with successfully transitioning into ¹ÏÉñÍø. By participating in this community, you will have opportunities to engage in study groups, tutoring sessions, college workshops, and academic advising. In this Impact Learning Community, you will meet weekly with an academically successful peer mentor, who is in the Pre-Med program. These co-curricular activities provide an opportunity for you to create relationships with fellow students with similar academic and career goals. In this ILC, you will be required to enroll in a common cohort of courses.

Courses include: General Biology Lab & LectureÌý, Intro to PsychologyÌý, and Intro to the College of SciencesÌý.ÌýStudents must also place 3 or higher on theÌýChemistry Placement Exam.

The College of Sciences offers a Psychology Impact Learning Community (ILC) that provides first-year students with support and resources that assist you with successfully transitioning into ¹ÏÉñÍø. By participating in this community, you will have opportunities to engage in study groups, tutoring sessions, college workshops, and academic advising. In this Impact Learning Community, you will meet weekly with an academically successful peer mentor, who is in the Psychology program. These co-curricular activities provide an opportunity for you to create relationships with fellow students with similar academic and career goals. In this ILC, you will be required to enroll in a common cohort of courses.
