¹ÏÉñÍø's annual Graduate Student Appreciation Week will be held the week of April 5.

Virtual events are scheduled each day. Here's the schedule:

April 6: "Are YOU Ready to Master It?" 6 p.m., hosted by the ¹ÏÉñÍø Black Alumni Chapter and the Graduate School. This panel discussion geared toward African American undergraduate students, first-generation students and alumni. Click this to register. The Zoom link will be provided after registration. April 7: "Science Pub: Lightning 5s for Grads," 7 p.m. The scheduled featured researchers are Brenda Berumen-Flucker, School of Community and Environmental Health; Natalie I. Cruz, educational foundations and leadership; Grant Highland, graduate program in international studies; Joedian Morris, chemistry and biochemistry; Tihara Richardson, School of Public Service; and Austin Tapp, Biomedical Engineering Institute. Thomas Socha, professor in communication and theatre arts and graduate program director of lifespan and digital communication, will serve as emcee. are requested by April 6. April 8: "Alternative Academic (Alt-Ac) Career Ph.D. Panel Discussion," 3 p.m. The panel features professionals with Ph.D. degrees who pursued non-academic careers. They will share tips for students who wish to learn about opportunities for Ph.D. recipients that do not expect or require pursuit of a professor position. With non-academic careers becoming more prevalent for doctoral recipients, this discussion is aimed to help attendees be better prepared to pursue these options. by April 7.
