Dr. Adam Muller currently serves as an Inspector General on the personal staff of the Commanding General, U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command, at Fort Eustis, Virginia and is also Adjunct Professor of Saxophone at ¹ÏÉñÍø. He is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Muller holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and master’s and doctoral degrees from Florida State University, along with military public affairs certification from the Defense Information School (DINFOS) located at Fort Meade, Maryland. He is also a graduate of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, Louisiana's premiere high school arts conservatory.

Dr. Muller has served as Adjunct Professor of Saxophone at Florida International University in Miami, graduate teaching assistant at Florida State University, Instructor of Saxophone at the First Academy of Music in Naples, Florida, and was a founding member of The Kelly Quartet, an international chamber music group based in Germany. Dr. Muller has performed with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, and taught for over 20 years throughout the United States, Europe, and South Korea.

During his military career, Dr. Muller has served as the Chief of Faculty & Staff at the U.S. Army School of Music, Master-Level Quality Assurance Evaluator, First Sergeant of the U.S. Army School of Music, Chief of Training for the Army Bands Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Senior Leader Course Instructor, Chief of Operations, Chief of Public Affairs, Training Developer, Saxophone Instructor, Platoon Sergeant, Advanced Individual Training Instructor, and Common Faculty Development Program Course Manager and Instructor. He has facilitated instruction at all levels of Professional Military Education and evaluated instructors within all cohorts, and attained Army Master Instructor status in 2019. As an Army Public Affairs consultant, he has provided photography and public relations training to Army Music leaders and led strategic messaging efforts with the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs (OCPA) at the Pentagon.

Dr. Muller’s program evaluation training includes the New World Kirkpatrick Strategic Evaluation Planning Certification, New World Kirkpatrick Model Bronze Certification, Master Level Quality Assurance Evaluator Certification, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training, Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue Course, Senior Training & Education Managers Course, Advanced Facilitation Skills Course, Evaluating Instructors Course, and many others. He currently supports the Training & Doctrine Command Quality Assurance Office as an evaluator for institutional accreditations across the U.S. Army and also as an adjunct instructor for Quality Assurance Evaluator Development Program courses.

In addition, Dr. Muller has served as a voting member for the Army University Professional Learning Community Subcommittee, member of the Master Army Instructor Advisory Panel, and as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Military History.
