Over the past 15 years, Dr. Antipas Harris has served on faculties at several additional universities, namely, Sacred Heart University, Fuller Theological Seminary, Portland Theological Seminary, Vanguard University, and Regent University, where he was a tenured associate professor and held administrative roles. He has also held the Moen Preaching Chair at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Harris currently serves as a part-time Professor of Religious Studies at ¹ÏÉñÍø in Norfolk, Virginia. He was also recently appointed as Honorary Research Fellow at the Queen's Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education in Birmingham, England.
Harris earned his BA in Religion and Creative Music Technology from LaGrange College, MDiv from Candler School of Theology at Emory University, STM from Yale Divinity School, DMin from Boston University and a PhD in Practical Theology from St. Thomas University. Harris is well published with several peer-reviewed articles, newspaper columns, chapters, edited volumes, and monographs. Harris is a leader in religious education, a prolific writer, theologian, community leader, social activist, and pastor. He currently lives in Norfolk, Virginia.
