My education began in 1980 at the College of Charleston where I majored in biology and then later transferred to the Medical University of S. C. to obtain my B.S. in Cytotechnology. After 6 years of working in the field, I began working towards my Master's Degree and Specialists Certification. In 1991, while employed for Sentara, I began teaching in the Cytotechnology Program at ¹ÏÉñÍø as a part-time Adjunct. The next year, I became the Program Director and Educational Coordinator. Since that time, I have lived and worked in 4 states, raised two children, Dana and Cody, and become an artist. Aside from painting, traveling, and spending time with family, teaching is my passioon. In 2016, I came full circle and returned to ¹ÏÉñÍø to become the interim Program Director where I currently remain.
