M. Perry Nerem comes to ¹ÏÉñÍø after attending graduate school at William and Mary and receiving an M.S. in Physics. He is currently working towards his doctorate while teaching introductory physics courses and participating in physics outreach events.

Research Interests
Using semiclassical techniques to study dynamical consequences of Hamiltonian systems with non-trivial monodromy. Current research is theoretical framework of an optical apparatus that exhibits Hamiltonian monodromy. These methods give classical insights into quantum mechanics phenomenon.
