The ¹ÏÉñÍø Libraries are celebrating Black History Month with exhibits in the Perry Library and the Hofheimer Art Library.
Perry Library's exhibit provides images and other materials relating to this year's theme "A Century of Black Life, History, and Culture," which focuses on individuals and organizations that have brought to light African Americans role in the making of American history. Information is provided by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH). An extensive bibliography is available for exploration of African American history.
The Hofheimer Art Library in the Barry Arts Building celebrates with an exhibit featuring four contemporary African-American Women Artists: Kara Walker, Betye Saar, Alison Saar and Lorna Simpson.
