Mark your calendars as Libraries recognize Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 16!
PhD candidates from ’s Department of Computer Science will share their academic work regarding the accessibility and usability of popular web archives taken from the experiences of those who are visually impaired. While web archives serve as digital repositories, they store ‘snapshots’ of web pages at different time intervals and enable users to access prior versions of web pages. Student presenters consider how these sites may become equally accessible to all users.
Please join us on May 16 for “Accessibility and Usability of Web Archives” in Perry Library, Rooms 1310-1311, or , from noon to 1:30pm for an impactful conversation and a catered lunch!
