Develop an Archival Habit of Mind. The Friends of the ¹ÏÉñÍø Library Fall Lectures Series presents a tour of ¹ÏÉñÍø's Special Collections with ¹ÏÉñÍø Archivist and Head of Special Collections, Jessica Ritchie. The tour will take place on December 2, 2015 from 7:00 PM- 8:00 PM.
The Special Collections houses the University Archives, Manuscripts, and books and printed material relating to Virginia and Tidewater History. The University Archives includes the non-current permanent records of the university, theses and dissertations, oral histories, year books, course catalogs, university publications, and photographs of yesterday and today. The Manuscripts area of Special Collections contains diaries, letters, legal and campaign files, photographs, and maps that document such subjects as the Civil War, Virginia politics, military history, African-American history, Norfolk urban redevelopment, women's history, and local history.
Free Parking will be available in Parking Garage B, levels 3 and 4.
Directions: Turn west on 43rd Street; turn right into Parking Garage B, just past Perry Library.
