UN Day welcomes students from all over campus and universities throughout Hampton Roads to be an ambassador for a day.
The ¹ÏÉñÍø Model UN Society's premier on-campus activity, ¹ÏÉñÍø United Nations Day, commemorates the creation of the United Nations in 1945. Co-sponsored by the ¹ÏÉñÍø chapter of UNA-USA, UN Day is your opportunity to learn about simulations, conferences and how the United Nations really works.
¹ÏÉñÍø's UN Day 2023 was an extraordinary success. Students were registered for over 80 countries, representing Hampton University, Norfolk State University, ¹ÏÉñÍø and Regent University. It was intense and raucous, with weeks of UN debate compressed in a six-hour simulation, chaired by ¹ÏÉñÍø's Zika Ozoh. Awards went to six participants—newcomers all.
