¹ÏÉñÍø students receive automatic membership to the Student Recreation Center during the current semester in which they are paying the activity fee.
If you’re currently enrolled as an ¹ÏÉñÍø student, you have access to the Student Recreation & Well-Being Center, University Village Fitness Center, and Waitzer Hall Wellness Center. For ¹ÏÉñÍø main campus students, you will need special permissions to access the Waitzer Hall Wellness Center. To request those permissions, please complete this form. Students in the Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ¹ÏÉñÍø do not need to do anything to gain access to Waitzer Hall.
Summer Access
Students have summer access if they are enrolled in ¹ÏÉñÍø summer courses, or if they were enrolled in the most recent spring semester and are already registered for the upcoming fall semester. Otherwise, a Student Plus 1 membership must be purchased to have access over the summer.

¹ÏÉñÍø Student Plus 1 Memberships
$80 / Semester
- Student members may add an additional person to their membership for a nominal fee.
- Student Plus 1 memberships are exclusive to long term guests of currently enrolled ¹ÏÉñÍø students.
- Plus 1 member applicants must be 18 years or older and must present a government-issued ID card to be eligible.
- Plus 1 memberships are available by semester only (there are no monthly or annual options).
