Annual Food Drive Challenge
Monarchs Give Back is a campus and community-wide food drive to benefit Norfolk Public Schools children experiencing food insecurity, our own Monarch Pantry, right here on campus, andthe Foodbank of Southeastern VA. This annual effort not only highlights the University's commitment to partner with the Hampton Roads community, but also shows the care and compassion of our University and the 757 as we come together to provide support.
Goal
This year, our goal is to collect 40,000 non-perishable items/monetary donations to benefit Norfolk Public Schools, 圖朸厙s Monarch Pantry, and the Foodbank of Southeastern VA.
Monarch Pantry
- Nonperishable tuna or chicken packets
- Canned beans
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Nonperishable grains (pasta, ramen noodles, mac n cheese, etc.)
- Individually wrapped snack items
- Individually wrapped toiletry items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, bar soap, etc.)
Norfolk Public Schools
- Boxes of granola bars
- Boxes of individual oatmeal packets
- Boxes of cereal
- Boxes of dehydrated soup mixes
- Boxes of mac n cheese
- Boxes of pasta
- Plastic jars of marinara sauce
- Plastic jars of peanut butter
- Plastic jars of jelly
- Nonperishable tuna or chicken packets
