Based within the Strome College of Business, the Real Estate program at ¹ÏÉñÍø has a long history of educating future real estate professionals and providing a resource to the real estate community across the Hampton Roads region. Our mission is to provide a dynamic learning environment for our students and to conduct cutting edge research, both academic and applied, on real estate, urban economics and public policy. The Harvey Lindsay School of Real Estate and the E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate draw upon the wide range of expertise at hand within the Strome College of Business and the broader ¹ÏÉñÍø community.
Everything we do involves some real estate element, and as such it is central to the economic and social well-being of communities. Actively engaging with the broader community, and its diverse stakeholders, is therefore central to our mission, whether that be with respect to peer-to-peer engagement or the exchange of best practices to help provide students with an insight into the complexity of the modern real estate sector.
Why Study Real Estate?
Real estate touches everything we do. Our lives are shaped by the built environment around us. We live in it, work in it and play in it.
