What to Expect When Your Student Returns Home
Students typically experience a transition (reverse culture shock/reentry shock) when they return to the U.S. after their study abroad experience. Some students may experience a mild transition while others may experience a more difficult transition. We encourage you to read Dr. Bruce La Brack and Margaret D. Pusch's "Twelve Tips for Welcoming Returnees Home" in order to assist your student with his/her return to the U.S.
