Bachelor's degree

This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions within the sport industry. Students acquire knowledge and skills needed for careers with professional sport teams and leagues, intercollegiate athletics, sport facility and event management companies, sport marketing agencies, and other sport-related businesses.

B.S. in Sport Management

Master's Degree

This program is designed to prepare students for leadership roles within the sport industry. Students are provided with theoretical and practical knowledge to face the opportunities and challenges associated with sport business careers. The curriculum is consistent with current principles and practices of academic and sport marketplace standards.

Internships

The internship is a practical learning experience where students are able to apply knowledge, skills, and abilities learned in the classroom to a workplace setting. Internships are completed with approved sport agencies willing to provide educational and practical experiences to enhance the professional development of student interns.

The goal of the internship is to provide students with valuable experience and networking opportunities within the sport industry. The internship will further the professional development of students in preparation for employment within the sport industry. The internship experience is usually taken in the final semester after all coursework has been completed. For more information on internships, contact the UPD or GPD.
